Bow Tie Pasta with Sausage and Peppers
| Ingredients (First of all Grandpa Jay does not use Bow Ties he uses Penne.) 6 ounce – Penne pasta 12 ounces - fresh sweet Italian sausage links cut into ˝ inch pieces 1 - medium onion chopped ˝ cup 2 - cloves of garlic minced 1 - large red sweet pepper cut into 1 inch pieces 1 - large green pepper cut into 1 inch pieces 1 cup - fresh mushrooms sliced 2/3 cup - chicken broth 1 teaspoon - dried basil 2 teaspoons - cornstarch 1 - tomato chopped Directions Cook
pasta according to the directions on the box. In a bowl mix together
the broth, basil and cornstarch and set aside. Add oil to a large
skillet and heat over medium high heat for a couple minutes (until the
oil ripples. Add the sausage, onion, and garlic to the skillet.
When sausage is brown add pepper and mushrooms. Cook about 3 minutes.
Drain fat. Return to heat and add the combined broth, basil and
cornstarch - cook and stir until thickened and bubbly, about 2 minutes
more. Stir in tomatoes and heat through. Serve over pasta. Bon Appétit!!
